Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance.
- Active CPA and/or public accounting experience.
- 10-12+ years of relevant accounting and reporting experience.
- Strong technical accounting expertise with US GAAP and SEC reporting.
- Hands-on experience with general ledger ownership and month-end close activities.
- Experience with accruals, reconciliations, and internal-use software capitalization.
- Proven experience automating or accelerating close processes using ERP or reconciliation tools.
- Experience with the application and adoption of new accounting standards.
- Strong analytical, research, and documentation skills.
Responsibilities
- Lead the financial reporting process and prepare US GAAP financial statements.
- Conduct technical accounting research, documentation, and analysis for complex matters like revenue recognition and share-based compensation.
- Oversee month-end and quarter-end close, including accruals and balance sheet reconciliations.
- Manage SOX controls related to SEC reporting and accounting processes.
- Coordinate quarterly reviews and annual audits with external auditors.
- Prepare lender-related communication and covenant-compliance reporting.
- Drive process automation and system improvements to accelerate the financial statement close.
