Requirements
- 8+ years of software engineering experience.
- Proven track record as a Staff or Senior Staff Software Engineer.
- Deep expertise in embedded Linux environments and custom Yocto distributions.
- Strong proficiency in video processing pipelines.
- Foundational understanding of low-level hardware and MCU/RTOS.
- Experience architecting edge-based camera analytics and deploying Edge AI models.
- Demonstrated success driving technical outcomes within a JDM framework.
- Ability to navigate high ambiguity and drive engineering process improvements.
- Proficiency in leveraging AI-driven development tools.
- Ability to travel to Headquarters in American Fork, Utah and JDM partner sites.
Responsibilities
- Own and drive architectural decisions for LVT's embedded camera platforms, ensuring designs hold up over multi-year horizons.
- Architect and govern the software running directly on edge devices, including encoding, video storage, streaming, and retrieval.
- Serve as the primary technical authority in a Joint Design Manufacturing (JDM) model to align internal and third-party partner teams.
- Broker alignment with TPMs, Hardware, Product Management, and other Software teams to ensure cohesive product delivery.
- Drive rigorous architecture and code reviews, manage complex schedule planning, and proactively mentor engineers.
- Direct the implementation of edge camera analytics and deploy resource-efficient computer vision or Edge AI models.
