Requirements
- Master or Doctorate degree in nutrition or public health.
- At least 7 years of work experience with NGOs, UN agencies, or similar organizations.
- Experience in public health research design, implementation, analysis, and publication.
- Strong project management skills with experience overseeing research projects.
- Experience in research and evaluation, preferably in developing countries.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate research methods and results via manuscripts and presentations.
- Strong analytical ability to interpret data.
- Working knowledge of statistics and visualization software such as SPSS, STATA, or other open-access tools.
- Ability to build and maintain strong partnerships with internal units, offices, and external partners.
- Fluency in English is essential.
- Working capacity in French is an advantage.
Responsibilities
- Lead technical inputs and quality assurance of research designs, planning, implementation, and reporting.
- Determine necessary evidence for research design and recommend strategic actions for specific country contexts.
- Lead or support the implementation, analysis, and interpretation of results to improve program quality.
- Collaborate with portfolio staff to identify and manage consultants for research support.
- Coordinate input from the R&D Unit to harmonize research activities.
- Manage research projects according to organizational standards, including preparing Research Charters and TORs.
- Manage end-to-end contracting processes and quality assure all project deliverables.
- Steward donor relationships through deliverable preparation and regular engagement.
- Contribute to the monitoring of portfolio-level strategy and use evidence to inform future approaches.
