Requirements
- 1 to 3 years of work experience.
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
- Must be CPB Certified.
- Certified Revenue Cycle Representative (CRCR) required within 9 months of hire.
- Billing experience on multiple payers or as a subject matter expert on one payer.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Ability to pass a typing test of 35 words per minute (error adjusted).
- Must be able to provide a mock training session for the interviewer.
- Ability to work onsite at client, temporary, or corporate office locations as business needs require.
Responsibilities
- Review and update failed bills and claims on the host system and within the billing vendor software.
- Resolve daily electronic claim submissions and issues.
- Monitor daily claim errors and provide recommendations for system fixes.
- Process daily late charges and rebills.
- Bill hardcopy claims, attaching necessary documentation for payment.
- Retrieve EOBs and medical records as needed for claim processing.
- Contact patients, insurance companies, or third parties to obtain missing billing information.
- Create training materials and conduct training sessions for staff.
