Requirements
- Post-secondary diploma or degree in Accounting, Business, or related discipline.
- Professional accounting designation strongly preferred.
- 5–7 years of relevant accounting experience, ideally in manufacturing or high-technology environments.
- Strong understanding of US GAAP or IFRS.
- Knowledge of general and cost accounting principles.
- Advanced Excel skills.
- Strong technical experience with integrated ERP systems; SAP/S4 HANA preferred.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in cross-functional teams.
Responsibilities
- Manage revenue recognition for customer contracts, focusing on project-related analysis, recording, and forecasting based on percentage-of-completion.
- Review monthly general ledger reconciliations for revenue-related accounts and project data.
- Partner with Business Unit Controllers and Program Managers to support estimated costs at completion and challenge forecasting assumptions.
- Provide timely revenue reporting and variance analysis to business leaders and senior management.
- Prepare accounting memos and checklists for customer contracts in accordance with US GAAP.
- Support revenue recognition and project accounting process improvements.
- Assist with internal and external audits, including Sarbanes-Oxley self-assessments.
