Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business administration or related field.
- Minimum of five years' experience in accounting operations.
- Demonstrated experience managing payroll processing.
- Proven experience with IFRS accounting standards.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects with overlapping deadlines.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work with diverse teams.
- Experience working in a SaaS or healthcare company is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Prepare accurate financial statements, ensuring compliance with IFRS accounting standards and company policies.
- Reconcile various General Ledger accounts and appropriate sub-ledgers.
- Compile and analyze financial information to prepare journal entries documenting business transactions.
- Manage day-to-day accounting activities, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and financial reporting.
- Prepare balance sheet reconciliations and work with FP&A on customer invoices.
- Close monthly financials in accordance with the reporting schedule.
- Remit tax payments, prepare government filings, and oversee the audit process.
- Build a robust system of controls for transparent financial systems.
- Process biweekly payroll and remit payments to benefit carriers and HR vendors.
- Register states and provinces for tax filings and prepare 1099, T4, and W2 forms.
