Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Education, Business, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
- At least 5 years of field sales experience preferred, particularly selling into the K–12 education market.
- Demonstrated success generating qualified opportunities, managing complex sales cycles, and negotiating effectively.
- Strong understanding of the K–12 education industry, including school operations, assessment methods, and funding environments.
- Proven ability to develop and execute strategic territory plans and prioritize sales activity.
- Strong consultative selling and sales methodology skills, such as Miller Heiman or Strategic Selling.
- Excellent written, verbal, presentation, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
- Strong organizational and pipeline-management skills, with experience using Salesforce.
- Ability to collaborate effectively across cross-functional teams.
- Ability to travel approximately 25% as required.
Responsibilities
- Drive revenue growth by acquiring new partners across Charter, Private, and Parochial education markets within the assigned territory.
- Develop, qualify, nurture, and convert leads into sales opportunities and closed business through proactive prospecting and consultative selling.
- Sell a portfolio of education products and services, including assessment, literacy, professional development, and other integrated solutions.
- Develop and execute a strategic territory plan based on market opportunities, funding availability, state initiatives, regulatory requirements, and customer needs.
- Build and maintain strategic relationships with large charter management organizations, dioceses, private school networks, and schools of varying sizes.
- Manage complex sales cycles involving multiple internal and external stakeholders, from initial discovery through negotiation, contracting, and close.
- Use Salesforce to manage prospect activity, opportunities, pipeline data, forecasts, reports, and regional dashboards.
- Participate in industry and customer activities requiring approximately 25% travel.
