Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree plus 5 years of IT infrastructure engineering experience, or 9 years total IT engineering experience.
- Advanced technical certifications in at least two of: Microsoft Azure, AWS, and GCP.
- Hands-on experience with Azure Government/GCC High, AWS GovCloud, or GCP.
- Experience with enterprise technologies: Windows/Linux, storage, networking, observability, and automation.
- Practical experience applying frameworks like FedRAMP, NIST 800-53, FISMA, or DISA STIGs.
- Demonstrated ability to perform root cause analysis and resolve complex technical issues.
- Strong verbal, written, and technical documentation skills.
- Willingness to participate in a 24x7 on-call rotation.
- Ability to travel as needed.
Responsibilities
- Provide advanced operational support, troubleshooting, and lifecycle management for government cloud/hybrid environments (Azure Gov, AWS GovCloud, GCP).
- Monitor and optimize environments to meet availability, performance, security, and SLA requirements.
- Manage incidents, service requests, and operational activities following ITIL practices.
- Apply security and compliance frameworks including FedRAMP, NIST 800-53, FISMA, and DISA STIGs.
- Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code, automation scripts, and technical documentation.
- Participate in a 24x7 on-call rotation for critical infrastructure support.
- Lead root cause analysis and remediation efforts to improve system reliability.
- Provide technical recommendations on cloud architecture and support pre-sales opportunities.
