Requirements
- Significant professional experience in UX or product design, with a portfolio demonstrating strong end-to-end design work.
- Proven ability to solve complex product and user-experience problems through research, interaction design, prototyping, and iteration.
- Strong understanding of user-centred design principles, information architecture, interaction design, usability, and accessibility.
- Experience working closely with product and engineering teams in an agile or similarly collaborative product-development environment.
- Strong ability to turn ambiguous requirements into clear, practical, and user-focused design solutions.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain design decisions to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, combined with a high level of attention to detail.
- Ability to balance user needs, business objectives, technical constraints, and product priorities when making design decisions.
- Comfortable working independently, taking ownership of projects, and influencing product direction through design expertise.
- A collaborative, curious, and pragmatic mindset, with a willingness to seek feedback and continuously improve.
Responsibilities
- Lead UX design initiatives from problem discovery and user understanding through ideation, prototyping, validation, and delivery.
- Translate complex user needs and product requirements into intuitive, accessible, and effective user experiences.
- Create user flows, wireframes, prototypes, interaction models, and other design artefacts that clearly communicate proposed solutions.
- Collaborate closely with product managers, engineers, and other stakeholders throughout the product development lifecycle.
- Conduct or contribute to user research, usability testing, and qualitative and quantitative analysis to validate design decisions.
- Identify friction points and opportunities for improvement across existing user journeys and product experiences.
- Advocate for user-centred design principles and help ensure that usability, accessibility, and consistency remain central to product decisions.
- Contribute to and evolve design systems, patterns, standards, and documentation where appropriate.
- Present design concepts and recommendations clearly, incorporating feedback while maintaining strong UX rationale.
- Help establish and improve UX processes, methodologies, and best practices across the product organisation.
