Requirements
- Full-stack AML product experience, having shipped products across at least two major AML functional areas in production.
- Deep understanding of AML program design, model drift, backtesting methodology, and model validation reports.
- Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to data engineers and regulatory compliance requirements to CCOs.
- Technical fluency to read data schemas, write queries, and evaluate the application of ML models.
- Thorough knowledge of regulatory standards including BSA, FinCEN, OFAC, and FATF.
- Strong proficiency in using AI tools to accelerate discovery, technical building, design, and data analysis workflows.
- Proven experience navigating ambiguous regulatory guidance in fast-paced environments.
- Demonstrated ability to build defensible audit trails and products that withstand regulatory scrutiny.
Responsibilities
- Own the full product lifecycle for the AML and financial crimes suite including transaction monitoring, KYC/KYB, screening, case management, and SAR filing.
- Design and calibrate transaction monitoring rules engines and ML models, including scenario design, threshold calibration, and backtesting.
- Orchestrate identity verification, document checks, and ongoing monitoring workflows for KYC/KYB.
- Manage screening processes for sanctions, PEPs, and adverse media while balancing false positive rates and defensibility.
- Develop automated SAR filing workflows and ensure audit trails satisfy regulatory requirements.
- Define data strategy for entity resolution, behavioral baselines, and model feature pipelines.
- Utilize AI tools to synthesize user research, generate PRDs, prototype UI flows, and analyze product data.
