- Minimum of five (5) years’ experience in electrical distribution for utilities
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering.
- Minimum of five years of experience in electrical distribution for utilities.
- Proven experience in electric power distribution design.
- Deep knowledge of electric utility distribution systems from field planning through construction.
- Expertise in power utility standards and operations.
- Proficiency with GIS and work management systems like STORMS.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience with third party attachment programs and line extensions.
- Experience with underground developments, municipal design, and reconductoring projects.
- Experience with renewable energy interconnections and substation feeder getaways.
Responsibilities
- Perform field surveys of distribution facilities.
- Apply utility construction standards and requirements to project designs.
- Execute detailed distribution design for overhead and underground projects.
- Create civil engineering profiles for underground facilities.
- Provide permitting and easement support for utility projects.
- Communicate effectively with project stakeholders.
- Ensure quality assurance across project lifecycles.
- Represent the firm professionally to maintain customer confidence.
- Manage distribution projects.
