Requirements
- 3+ years of professional experience in People Operations, HR Administration, or a related HR function within the United States.
- 3+ years of hands-on experience working with HRIS platforms; experience with ADP and BambooHR is preferred.
- Demonstrated experience managing multi-state US payroll and benefits administration.
- Strong understanding of US HR operations, policies, processes, and employment compliance requirements.
- Experience working independently in remote, distributed, or globally decentralized teams.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities, with excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Strong verbal communication, interpersonal, and consulting skills, with the ability to build trust and provide thoughtful employee support.
- Demonstrated reporting and analytical skills, with the ability to work confidently with HR data and systems.
- Collaborative mindset and comfort partnering across teams, functions, and international time zones.
- Experience in a scale-up or fast-growing organization is a plus.
- A proactive, adaptable approach and willingness to identify opportunities for improving processes and employee experiences.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary People Operations contact for US-based employees, providing responsive, accurate, and employee-focused HR support throughout the employee lifecycle.
- Own US payroll operations and related reporting, including multi-state payroll administration and coordination with relevant internal and external partners.
- Manage HRIS systems, including employee data changes, reporting, auditing, data transfers, and ongoing data accuracy.
- Oversee benefits administration, including employee questions and changes, reporting, system administration, and collaboration with benefits vendors and brokers.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to deliver a smooth and consistent onboarding experience for US-based employees.
- Support employees through Leave of Absence requests while ensuring processes remain compliant with applicable federal, state, and local requirements.
- Identify opportunities to improve, streamline, and scale People Operations processes as the organization grows.
- Participate in global People Operations initiatives, helping develop and implement processes that support both regional and international growth.
- Monitor changes to US employment and HR compliance requirements and stay informed about relevant developments and global People Operations trends.
