Requirements
- 8+ years of experience in cloud architecture, platform engineering, or infrastructure operations.
- Extensive hands-on experience designing and supporting production environments in Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
- Strong knowledge of GCP networking, compute, storage, identity and access management, and security services.
- Proven ability to translate cloud architecture into day-two operational processes and production-readiness practices.
- Hands-on experience with Terraform (reusable modules, remote state management, CI/CD integration).
- Experience supporting GitOps, CI/CD, and DevSecOps workflows in production.
- Strong understanding of infrastructure monitoring, logging, performance troubleshooting, and operational risk management.
- Demonstrated knowledge of high availability, disaster recovery, and business continuity.
- Experience troubleshooting complex infrastructure and deployment issues at a Tier 3 level.
- Proficiency in creating and maintaining technical design documents, runbooks, and SOPs.
- Experience supporting release management and deployment processes.
- Working knowledge of Agile delivery and Jira.
Responsibilities
- Provide expert architectural and operational guidance across Google Cloud networking, compute, storage, IAM, and security services.
- Partner with customer operations teams to implement cloud best practices and reliability patterns.
- Serve as a primary escalation point for complex infrastructure issues, including Tier 3 troubleshooting for GCP and Terraform.
- Analyze system metrics and logs to identify bottlenecks, stability risks, and performance improvements.
- Lead root cause analysis and define preventive actions for complex production issues.
- Strengthen day-two operational readiness, including disaster recovery, backup, and high-availability configurations.
- Review and maintain runbooks, standard operating procedures, and technical design documentation.
- Support release management, including database releases, rollback planning, and production readiness.
