Requirements
- 8+ years of relevant experience.
- Extensive experience designing, operating, or supporting production environments in Google Cloud.
- Strong knowledge of GCP networking, compute, storage, identity, access management, and core security services.
- Hands-on experience with Terraform, including reusable modules, remote state management, and CI/CD integration.
- Experience supporting GitOps, CI/CD, or DevSecOps workflows in production environments.
- Understanding of high availability, disaster recovery, backup/recovery, and platform resiliency.
- Ability to troubleshoot complex cloud infrastructure and deployment issues at a Tier 3 level.
- Experience with infrastructure monitoring, logging, and operational risk identification.
- Proficiency in creating technical design documents, runbooks, and SOPs.
- Working knowledge of Agile delivery practices and Jira.
- Strong customer-facing communication, facilitation, and technical advisory skills.
Responsibilities
- Provide expert guidance on the architecture and operation of GCP networking, compute, security, storage, and supporting services.
- Partner with customer operations teams to identify and introduce tools, operational patterns, and cloud best practices.
- Serve as a primary point of contact for infrastructure/operations technical escalations and provide Tier 3 troubleshooting.
- Participate in Agile delivery ceremonies, including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and postmortems.
- Review system metrics and logs to identify bottlenecks, risks, and define long-term remediation actions.
- Strengthen day-two operational readiness, including backup/recovery, disaster recovery, and high-availability configurations.
- Guide Terraform module development, state management, and CI/CD/GitOps workflows.
- Support release-management activities and review/develop runbooks, SOPs, and technical design documents.
- Engage with Change Control and Architecture Review Boards to evaluate configuration and architectural changes.
