Requirements
- 15+ years of experience leading teams in people and operations management.
- Leadership experience in outdoor, technical, infrastructure, utility, or public works environments.
- Experience working with water utility personnel, municipalities, or field stakeholders.
- Strong team-management, motivation, and leadership capabilities.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Exceptional organizational and planning skills with attention to detail.
- Demonstrated independent decision-making and problem-solving in dynamic environments.
- High physical endurance for prolonged walking and working in varying weather conditions.
- Ability and willingness to travel extensively (75–100%) across the United States.
- Active driver's license.
Responsibilities
- Lead field teams of 4–8 staff during community deployments, providing daily direction and operational oversight.
- Translate project objectives into actionable daily plans for field teams.
- Serve as the primary liaison between project management, field teams, and local utility personnel.
- Maintain high standards for safety, data quality, and documentation.
- Problem-solve in real time regarding weather, routes, equipment, and scheduling.
- Build and maintain professional relationships with water utility and public works staff.
- Lead and participate in field data collection including walking long distances and light digging.
- Track, distribute, and reconcile equipment and supplies.
- Ensure all field data is submitted accurately and in a timely manner.
