Requirements

  • 1–3 years of experience in security engineering, application security, cloud security, IT, GRC, security operations, or software engineering.
  • Foundational understanding of security concepts such as access control, secure software development, vulnerability management, and incident response.
  • Basic experience or strong interest in scripting, APIs, automation, and data analysis.
  • Ability to investigate questions, troubleshoot issues, and follow problems to resolution.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to organize technical findings and documentation across multiple workstreams.
  • Comfort working with developer workflows, ticketing systems, cloud services, security tools, or GRC tools.
  • Ability to explain security risks and recommendations clearly to technical and non-technical partners.
  • Collaborative, service-oriented approach with a proactive and pragmatic mindset.
  • Continuous-learning mindset with interest in developing depth across security domains.
  • Ability to travel up to 5 days per quarter for team gatherings and events.

Responsibilities

  • Support security reviews, architecture discussions, threat modeling, and risk assessments for products, services, and integrations.
  • Partner with Engineering and IT teams to integrate security into the software and systems lifecycle.
  • Build or improve lightweight automation, scripts, dashboards, and workflows to improve security reliability and scalability.
  • Triage, investigate, prioritize, and track vulnerabilities through remediation.
  • Support incident response activities, including investigation, containment, documentation, and follow-up.
  • Maintain and improve technical and operational controls for data protection, access, and retention.
  • Assist with securing AI-enabled tools and workflows, including monitoring and safe adoption practices.
  • Support control documentation, testing, and audit readiness for SOC 2, PCI-DSS, SOX, and ITGC.
