Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in QA/QC, construction management, or O&M leadership within solar or renewable energy.
  • Demonstrated experience building and managing QA/QC programs from inception.
  • Proven P&L ownership, including budgeting, cost control, and financial reporting.
  • Track record of building and leading high-performing, field-intensive teams.
  • Extensive knowledge of photovoltaic (PV) systems, inverters, trackers, and balance-of-system components.
  • Experience managing large-scale project delivery, scoping, and closeout.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, single-line diagrams, and construction drawings.
  • Working knowledge of OSHA 1910, NFPA 70E, and NEC codes.
  • Valid Driver’s License with a clean driving record.
  • Ability to travel up to 50%, including overnight and out-of-state travel.
  • Proficiency with MS Office Suite; project/quality management software experience preferred.
  • OSHA 30, CQM, or CQA certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and implement the company's QA/QC program, including standards, inspection frameworks, and SOPs.
  • Define and enforce quality standards across all O&M and construction activities.
  • Lead root cause analysis and corrective action processes for quality issues.
  • Oversee quality audits at project sites and drive non-conformance resolution.
  • Recruit, lead, and develop a high-performing QA/QC team.
  • Serve as a senior resource for scoping, scheduling, and executing complex solar projects.
  • Own the P&L for the QA/QC function, including budget management and financial forecasting.
  • Maintain client relationships and lead contractor quality alignment meetings.
