Requirements
- Completed a term in a recognized open-source mentorship or contribution programme with merged contributions.
- Strong working proficiency in Go, or depth in another systems programming language.
- Understanding of distributed-systems fundamentals (idempotency, retries, consistency models, failure scenarios).
- Familiarity with containers and Kubernetes including diagnostic experience.
- Demonstrated ability to write clear technical documentation and design proposals.
- Track record of sustained contribution to a single technical project over multiple months.
- Experience participating in public code reviews and technical discussions.
- Ability to work remotely from India throughout the programme.
- Graduation timeline allowing for full-time conversion at the end of the term.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement domain services using technologies such as Go, protobuf, and ConnectRPC.
- Contribute to ledger and accounting systems, including commerce-event processing and journal APIs.
- Build payment infrastructure focusing on provider integrations, idempotency, and retry mechanisms.
- Contribute to document-rendering systems and cross-runtime conformance testing.
- Develop developer tooling and Model Context Protocol (MCP) initiatives.
- Write technical documentation including ADRs, design proposals, and engineering notes.
- Collaborate through code reviews, technical discussions, and design reviews.
- Support production services and troubleshoot deployment/runtime issues in Kubernetes.
