Requirements
- Completed term in a recognized open-source mentorship or contribution program with merged work.
- Working fluency in Go or depth in another systems language.
- Understanding of distributed systems fundamentals (idempotency, retries, consistency models).
- Familiarity with containers and Kubernetes (pod debugging).
- Proven ability to write design docs, issue threads, and detailed commit messages.
- Graduation timeline allowing for full-time conversion after the term.
- Experience building systems that handle money, correctness invariants, or multi-tenant isolation.
- Portfolio of public reviews, conference talks, blog posts, or RFCs is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement domain services in Go, including protobuf contracts and ConnectRPC handlers.
- Build ledger and accounting features, including real-time commerce event posting and journal APIs.
- Develop payment infrastructure including provider integrations and idempotency semantics.
- Maintain a cross-runtime document rendering templating engine.
- Contribute to developer tooling and MCP, including code generation and governance annotations.
- Author design docs and review team designs.
- Carry on-call context for shipped features.
