Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in HR, Business Administration, or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years of HR experience, including at least 1 year in a distribution setting.
- Experience in a distribution company within a heavily regulated industry.
- Cannabis industry experience required.
- Prior people management experience, including hiring, coaching, and performance management.
- PEO management experience required.
- Strong knowledge of employment law, compensation, and organizational planning.
- Valid driver's license and ability to drive for extended periods.
- SHRM/PHR certification is a plus.
- Google Suite experience recommended.
Responsibilities
- Partner with leadership to execute HR strategies related to talent planning, recruiting, and retention.
- Administer core HR programs including benefits, leave, disciplinary matters, and performance management.
- Manage the full employee lifecycle, including onboarding, offboarding, and documentation.
- Ensure payroll processing is accurate, timely, and compliant with government regulations.
- Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws.
- Develop and improve company culture through event planning and serving as a liaison.
- Evaluate and onboard vendors, including selecting a PEO partner.
- Hire, manage, and coach a direct report to build a high-functioning HR team.
