Requirements
- MA/MS degree with 7+ years or BS/BA degree with 9+ years of experience in information systems.
- 7+ years of specialized experience in data engineering and data architecture design.
- Strong proficiency with SQL and Python.
- Hands-on experience building enterprise-scale data pipelines.
- Experience with AWS data and compute services.
- Proficiency with ETL/ELT frameworks and data orchestration tools.
- Experience developing in cloud-based data platforms such as Snowflake, Databricks, or AWS Redshift.
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum delivery environments.
- Experience leading and mentoring data engineers.
- Understanding of best practices for system security measures.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement scalable, secure, cloud-based data platforms including data lakes, lakehouses, or data warehouses.
- Design and develop data ingestion and ETL/ELT pipelines for batch and near-real-time workloads.
- Provide technical direction and day-to-day oversight to the Data Engineers team.
- Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) for database provisioning, configuration, and management.
- Partner with architecture teams to implement logical and physical data models in cloud platforms like Snowflake, Databricks, or AWS Redshift.
- Ensure data engineering work is consistent, auditable, and aligned with federal security and CI/CD standards.
