Requirements
- 1–3 years of experience in public policy, community organizing, non-profit administration, or legal/legislative operations.
- Demonstrable commitment to LGBTQ rights, youth mental health, or crisis intervention advocacy.
- Proven ability to manage multi-stakeholder projects and coordinate large-scale meeting logistics.
- Strong planning and problem-solving skills, with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in spoken and written English.
- Hands-on experience with CRM and advocacy software such as Salesforce, Quorum, and Mobile Commons.
- Familiarity with project management and collaboration tools like Asana and Google Drive.
- Experience in crafting policy memos, public-facing letters, and talking points.
- Understanding of tracking lobbying activities for legal compliance.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks.
Responsibilities
- Configure and maintain team databases and tracking tools (Salesforce, Asana, Mobile Commons, Quorum).
- Update team operations manuals, support workflows, and review performance dashboards.
- Monitor advocacy travel budgets and manage logistics for travel, schedules, and meetings.
- Maintain tracking systems for lobbying and team activities to ensure regulatory compliance.
- Track and report on federal and state legislation and regulatory agency actions.
- Draft and edit policy memos, social media content, educational resources, and talking points.
- Produce and analyze data to create public-facing reports on LGBTQ policies.
- Coordinate the Advocacy Intern program and support coalition building with partner organizations.
