Requirements
- Significant professional game development experience.
- Deep hands-on expertise in Unreal Engine, C++, and Blueprint.
- Experience building and shipping gameplay features and systems on one or more Unreal titles.
- Strong architectural and systems thinking with a player-first mindset.
- Strong Unreal-specific judgment for knowing when to extend the engine or build custom solutions.
- Excellent judgment around technical trade-offs and project pacing.
- Ability to take ownership of loosely defined problems and move them forward independently.
- Comfortable adapting as the game iterates and requirements evolve.
- Proactive and open to using AI-assisted development tools.
- Confident, collaborative communication skills for explaining decisions and constructive challenge.
Responsibilities
- Build and own game features in Unreal Engine using C++ and Blueprint, from early implementation through iteration and polish.
- Work closely with design to translate game ideas into solutions that feel good for players and can evolve with live-service needs.
- Make architectural decisions that support the player experience, performance, maintainability, and future scalability.
- Help shape technical approaches, engineering standards, and patterns across the Unreal codebase.
- Identify technical debt and make pragmatic calls on what should be addressed now versus later.
- Collaborate with other engineers through technical discussions, code reviews, pairing, and knowledge sharing.
- Evaluate and improve performance, stability, and scalability for mobile targets.
