Requirements
- 7+ years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a Controller or senior accounting role.
- Demonstrated experience transitioning a company from cash basis to accrual accounting.
- Hands-on experience with NetSuite (migration or implementation experience preferred).
- Experience working directly with an external audit firm on audit preparation and execution.
- Deep knowledge of US GAAP.
- CPA designation or local equivalent strongly preferred.
- Prior experience at a Big 4 firm preferred.
- Experience in eCommerce, DTC, or consumer products.
- Ability to communicate financial data clearly to non-finance stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Lead and execute the transition from cash basis to accrual accounting.
- Manage the migration from QuickBooks Online to NetSuite.
- Coordinate with BDO for pre-audit cleanup and formal audit processes.
- Own month-end and year-end close and ensure accurate financial statements.
- Manage general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll.
- Build and maintain a strong internal controls environment.
- Prepare and present monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports to the CEO and leadership team.
