Requirements
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school; active bar membership required.
- 5+ years of legal experience, preferably in healthcare, health tech, or another highly regulated industry.
- Demonstrated experience working with GTM teams and commercial deal cycles.
- Working knowledge of healthcare regulatory frameworks, including HIPAA, BAAs, and data use / data privacy requirements.
- Experience with or strong appetite for legal operations tooling (intake systems, matter management, workflow automation, and reporting).
- Exemplary attention to detail with strong project development and management skills.
- Strong written and verbal communicator who can translate legal complexity for non-legal stakeholders.
- Proven ability to own work end-to-end.
- Comfortable operating in a lean, fast-moving environment.
Responsibilities
- Review, negotiate, and execute level-one legal work, including business associate agreements (BAAs), NDAs, vendor contracts, and other standard commercial instruments.
- Own and administer the legal operations ecosystem, including intake tooling, workflow automation, and document management.
- Design and maintain a KPI and SLA dashboard that gives the General Counsel real-time visibility into legal team throughput, cycle times, and open matters.
- Build and optimize the legal request intake process, ensuring clear routing, prioritization, and SLA accountability across the organization.
- Serve as the primary liaison for conflict checks and matter management with outside counsel.
- Partner cross-functionally with Finance, Sales, and the Salesforce admin to support contracting workflows.
- Serve as an internal champion for AI adoption within the Legal function for contract review, research, and drafting.
