Requirements
- Technical degree in electrical or software engineering, or related discipline, or equivalent experience.
- 10+ years of experience in field service, with relevant Ultrasound environment expertise.
- Strong working knowledge of Ultrasound hardware and software operating systems.
- Proficiency with MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Experience with mechanical devices, tools, test equipment, and computer networking.
- Fluent English verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to travel up to 75% of the time, including overnight.
- Valid driver’s license and satisfactory driving record.
- Must meet hospital credentialing requirements (including drug screening and background checks).
- Physical ability to lift up to 60 pounds and perform various movements like climbing, balancing, and crouching.
Responsibilities
- Provide escalated onsite technical support for premium ultrasound imaging products within tier-one hospital networks.
- Act as a subject matter expert and primary resource for complex service issues.
- Develop relationships with end users to support the sale of new systems and service contracts.
- Supervise, train, and provide technical direction to less experienced field service engineers.
- Conduct preventive maintenance and manage repair/parts cycles to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Collaborate with hospital biomedical engineers and staff to resolve technical issues.
- Prepare monthly activity reports and log support issues in the call center database.
- Attend and complete all required technical training and certification exams.
