Requirements
- Current registration by the Commission of Dietetic Registration of the American Dietetic Association.
- Current Registered Dietitian license in state of employment.
- 2+ years clinical experience in nutrition support (enteral).
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Excel, Outlook, and Word.
- Ability to hard-wire into the internet.
- Bachelor Degree in Nutrition, Dietetics or related field.
- Willingness to participate in on-call rotation (evenings/weekends).
- Certified Nutrition Support Clinician (CNSC) preferred.
- Infusion experience preferred.
- Knowledge of Parenteral and Enteral Formulas preferred.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate and customize enteral parenteral prescriptions including formula, volume, and administration parameters.
- Perform outbound calls to conduct patient assessments, monitor status and tolerance, and provide therapy education.
- Review patient medical documentation to support the onboarding of new nutrition therapy patients.
- Review clinical documentation to assist with qualification and medical necessity for Medicare and commercial payers.
- Develop patient-specific care plans in coordination with internal and external medical professionals.
- Collaborate with sales to maintain nutrition customer relationships and serve as a content expert.
- Resolve patient and caregiver inquiries through incoming calls.
