Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or equivalent.
- 10+ years of relevant and progressive experience in cost accounting and management.
- Strong understanding of US GAAP for inventory valuation and reporting.
- Proficiency in Excel.
- CPA/CMA certification or equivalent is strongly preferred.
- Experience with Sage, Elevated Signals, Ample, Sage 50, or QuickBooks is a plus.
- Demonstrated ability to influence and communicate with all levels of the organization.
- Strong analytical, research, and project management skills.
- Ability to work through ambiguity in a rapidly changing environment.
- Cannabis industry or agriculture/manufacturing processing knowledge preferred.
- Ability to travel occasionally.
Responsibilities
- Lead and develop the Operations Finance & Cost Accounting teams.
- Review actual and standard costing activities and inventory valuations.
- Collaborate with Commercial Finance, Operations, Accounting, and IT to provide financial support.
- Serve as the business lead for ERP projects and other systems implementations.
- Oversee the maintenance of operations departmental costing models, including budget variance reviews and monthly spend analysis.
- Lead operations month-end and year-end closing processes.
- Support facility GMs with development and reporting of throughput measures, yields, and other metrics.
- Assist with quarterly physical inventory counts and annual production facility budgets.
