Requirements
- Professional accounting qualification (ACCA, CPA, CIMA, CIPFA or equivalent).
- Minimum 7 years of post-qualification experience.
- At least 3 years of experience in a Head of Finance role.
- Senior-level experience in a finance leadership role within an organization of similar scale.
- Extensive experience in the non-profit sector.
- Extensive experience establishing and administering financial processes for restricted donor funding.
- Comprehensive knowledge of institutional donor regulations and compliance (e.g., EU, US Foundations, European government agencies).
- Proven ability to lead geographically dispersed teams.
- Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
- Experience creating and leading training for non-finance teams.
Responsibilities
- Lead the preparation of accurate and timely financial reports for stakeholders, including the board and donors.
- Oversee organizational budgeting, forecasting, and financial performance monitoring.
- Ensure compliance with IFRS, US GAAP, and relevant statutory and donor requirements.
- Manage statutory, organizational, and donor audits.
- Lead the design and implementation of financial policies, systems, and controls.
- Supervise, mentor, and build the capacity of the finance team.
- Provide financial analysis and insights to support strategic decision-making.
