Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering.
- Minimum of five years of experience in the electric utility industry.
- Direct experience in utility substation engineering with a focus on design packages.
- Experience in substation protection and control projects for electric utilities (4kV to 345kV).
- Strong client focus and customer service orientation.
- Ability to work in a client-facing role and coordinate with other disciplines.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) certification is a plus.
- Ambition to obtain Professional Engineering (PE) Licensure.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and/or MicroStation is a plus.
- Experience with relay settings is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Develop One Lines, Three Line diagrams, and AC/DC schematics.
- Design SCADA/RTU systems and create panel layouts and wiring diagrams.
- Prepare Bills of Material for substation projects.
- Perform quality control/assurance reviews on design packages.
- Provide project support from scoping through final design and closeout.
- Coordinate with civil/structural and other substation engineering disciplines.
- Provide construction support for substation projects.
