Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering.
- Professional Engineering (PE) licensure, or FE with a clear path to PE licensure.
- Minimum of ten (10) years of experience in the electric utility industry.
- Direct experience with substation protection and control projects for electric utilities (4kV to 345kV).
- Proficiency in design packages and project management within utility environments.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a client-facing role.
- Strong organizational skills to meet critical deadlines.
- Experience with relay settings is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Develop protection and control design documents including One Lines, Three Line diagrams, AC/DC schematics, and panel layouts.
- Design SCADA/RTU systems and manage Bill of Material development.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to the engineering and design team.
- Perform quality control/assurance reviews and ensure consistency with design standards.
- Manage project lifecycle tasks from scoping to final design, project closeout, and construction support.
- Collaborate across disciplines including Civil/Structural and Substation engineering.
- Maintain strong client focus and provide project leadership.
