Requirements
- 10+ years of progressive experience in revenue accounting and billing/collections leadership.
- 5+ years of direct people management experience.
- Deep, hands-on expertise in ASC 606 revenue recognition.
- Experience in software and tech-enabled services (private markets, fintech, or fund administration preferred).
- Proven track record scaling high-volume billing and order to cash operations.
- Strong command of AR, cash application, and DSO metrics.
- Advanced proficiency with NetSuite; experience with Zone or similar billing systems.
- Familiarity with Salesforce and contract lifecycle management tools like Ironclad.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA strongly preferred.
- Experience leading distributed/offshore teams.
- Demonstrated ability to use AI for workflow redesign and efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Own ASC 606 revenue recognition across software subscription, professional services, and fund administration revenue streams.
- Manage the end-to-end order to cash function including billing, collections, AR aging, and daily cash application.
- Defend technical revenue recognition positions with external auditors and maintain internal controls.
- Scale billing operations to handle complex variable, usage-based, and tiered pricing models.
- Implement AI-driven workflow automation to replace manual accounting and billing processes.
- Own revenue and billing systems roadmap across NetSuite, Zone, Salesforce, and Ironclad.
- Lead and develop a distributed revenue and billing team.
