Requirements
- 1–3 years of experience in payroll, finance, accounting, HR operations, or a related administrative role.
- High school diploma required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, Human Resources, or related field preferred.
- Basic to intermediate Microsoft Excel skills.
- Strong organizational and time management skills to manage recurring deadlines.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and manage sensitive employee data.
- Comfortable working within structured processes.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with a customer-focused approach.
- Willingness to learn payroll systems, compliance, and tax processes.
- Experience with payroll or HCM platforms like Workday, ADP, UKG, or Ceridian is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Assist with payroll processing activities, including inputs, validations, and report reviews.
- Verify payroll data for accuracy, completeness, and compliance.
- Review payroll reports to identify and resolve discrepancies.
- Partner with HR to manage new hires, terminations, and employee record updates.
- Process approved bonuses, commissions, overtime, and variable compensation.
- Maintain tax account records and coordinate with payroll providers.
- Respond to employee payroll inquiries, including deductions, taxes, and system access.
- Support quarterly and year-end compliance activities and audit documentation.
- Participate in process improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency.
