Requirements

  • 1–3 years of experience in payroll, finance, accounting, HR operations, or a related administrative role.
  • High school diploma required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, Human Resources, or related field preferred.
  • Basic to intermediate Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills to manage recurring deadlines.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and manage sensitive employee data.
  • Comfortable working within structured processes.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with a customer-focused approach.
  • Willingness to learn payroll systems, compliance, and tax processes.
  • Experience with payroll or HCM platforms like Workday, ADP, UKG, or Ceridian is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with payroll processing activities, including inputs, validations, and report reviews.
  • Verify payroll data for accuracy, completeness, and compliance.
  • Review payroll reports to identify and resolve discrepancies.
  • Partner with HR to manage new hires, terminations, and employee record updates.
  • Process approved bonuses, commissions, overtime, and variable compensation.
  • Maintain tax account records and coordinate with payroll providers.
  • Respond to employee payroll inquiries, including deductions, taxes, and system access.
  • Support quarterly and year-end compliance activities and audit documentation.
  • Participate in process improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency.
