Requirements
- Five or more years of progressive experience in purchasing, contracting, project management, healthcare operations, or medical product selection.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Nursing, healthcare-related discipline, or another relevant field.
- Strong understanding of healthcare products, medical terminology, clinical workflows, and value-based decision-making.
- Experience analyzing contracts, costs, financial data, and product specifications.
- Demonstrated ability to manage complex projects involving multiple stakeholders and competing priorities.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence clinical teams, vendors, executives, and operational partners.
- Proven negotiation skills with the ability to achieve favorable outcomes and maximize value.
- Experience working with spreadsheets, databases, and analytical tools.
- Strong understanding of project management techniques and change management practices.
Responsibilities
- Provide analytical recommendations to value analysis committees regarding cost savings, product standardization, quality improvements, and operational efficiencies.
- Support annual healthcare savings objectives by identifying and implementing opportunities for cost reduction and process improvement.
- Partner with sourcing and contracting teams to evaluate purchasing strategies and achieve optimal value.
- Manage and facilitate value analysis committee meetings, including planning agendas, coordinating communications, and ensuring effective stakeholder engagement.
- Act as a liaison between supply chain teams, clinical departments, vendors, senior leadership, and purchasing organizations.
- Lead product conversion initiatives by developing project plans, managing timelines, coordinating resources, and ensuring successful implementation.
- Apply project management methodologies to track milestones, risks, dependencies, and outcomes.
- Develop change management and communication plans to support adoption of new initiatives.
