Requirements

6+ years in PR or communications experience.
Direct experience running external agencies as the client and holding them to specific results.
Demonstrable track record of tier-1 business, financial, fintech, or crypto coverage.
Proven experience in crisis communications within a scrutinized or regulated category.
Experience building a credible public voice for founders or executives.
Excellent news judgment and high standard of written English.
Experience managing major event and conference programs, including sponsorship and partnership communications.
Ability to work effectively with Legal and Compliance departments on sensitive communications.
Commercial literacy regarding agency spend and retainer management.
Fluent English.

Responsibilities

Own the global PR narrative across priority markets, media channels, and narrative pillars.
Manage the agency portfolio as an accountable program, setting briefs, KPIs, and conducting performance reviews.
Drive the news pipeline by shaping stories from product launches, milestones, and data to feed agency output.
Direct founder and executive positioning, including speaking platforms, op-eds, and LinkedIn presence.
Lead reputation and crisis communications, including risk mapping, holding statements, and escalation protocols in coordination with Legal and Compliance.
Build and maintain senior-level media relationships in priority outlets independently of agency access.
Oversee the events and conference program to ensure alignment with brand and product narratives.
Act as the final gatekeeper for all external communications to ensure brand consistency.
Define and report PR KPIs, including share of voice, message pull-through, and cost-per-outcome metrics.
