Requirements
- 8+ years of experience in QA/test engineering.
- 5+ years of experience owning test automation.
- Demonstrated experience building an automated regression suite from the ground up.
- Experience owning quality outcomes for a team or function.
- Proven experience managing and mentoring other QA engineers.
- Track record of setting and adopting testing strategy and standards org-wide.
- Deep hands-on fluency with at least one automation platform (code-based or low-code).
- Comfortable with code, including reading, scripting, and debugging tests.
- Based in Canada with a track record of succeeding in a fully remote team.
Responsibilities
- Define and own the QA strategy jointly with the VP of Engineering.
- Set the quality bar, including entry/exit criteria, coverage, and release readiness.
- Build, own, and maintain automated regression coverage across web applications and services.
- Select and own the automation tooling and set maintainability conventions.
- Manage, mentor, and develop the QA team.
- Own quality outcomes across the function, including coverage and release confidence.
- Embed with delivery teams to work from requirements through release.
