Strong work ethic and motivation to succeed
Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
Ability to generate leads through cold calling, networking, referrals, and other prospecting activities

Responsibilities

Prospecting and developing relationships with local business owners
Conducting in-person and phone-based sales conversations
Identifying merchant needs and recommending appropriate payment solutions
Presenting available payment processing and cost-reduction programs
Educating merchants on available credit and debit card acceptance options
Attending qualified, pre-set company appointments when provided
Generating additional opportunities through cold calling, networking, referrals, and territory development
Collaborating with sales management to prepare competitive proposals and presentations
Managing prospects throughout the sales process
Following up with prospective merchants and maintaining an active sales pipeline
Working toward established sales and performance objectives
