Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, Geology, or a related field.
- 5+ years of related field experience.
- Current CESCL certification required.
- ISA Certified Arborist credential required.
- TRAQ certification preferred.
- Demonstrated experience in arboriculture, tree care, or urban forestry.
- Ability to exercise sound arboricultural judgment in assessments and recommendations.
- Experience collecting field samples of soil, groundwater, surface water, stormwater, wastewater, and air using standard environmental protocols.
- Experience preparing regulatory reports and permit-related documentation.
- Ability to travel to project sites within Washington and Oregon.
Responsibilities
- Conduct tree and vegetation surveys, develop and implement vegetation protection plans, and conduct hazard tree assessments.
- Provide environmental compliance inspection and oversight on construction projects in the Puget Sound Region.
- Perform field collection of environmental samples including air, water, stormwater, wastewater, and soil.
- Complete routine regulatory reporting related to stormwater, wastewater, solid/hazardous waste, and air permit compliance.
- Prepare environmental management plans related to stormwater pollution prevention and spill prevention.
- Select and implement pollution prevention Best Management Practices for discharge permit compliance.
- Assist with the evaluation and permitting of environmental projects.
- Present environmental topics to employees, clients, and contractors.
