Requirements
- 4+ years of product design experience in desktop SaaS.
- Ability to think from first principles instead of relying on standard UX processes.
- Strong skills in layout, navigation, information architecture, UI, and interaction design.
- Strong visual design skills with attention to craft and detail.
- Resourceful problem-solving ability to de-risk design solutions.
- Ability to work independently with minimal guidance.
- Comfortable having design decisions challenged by product and engineering teams.
- Experience working in an early-stage startup or as a solo designer is a bonus.
Responsibilities
- Consult with engineers on structuring layout, typography, and interaction flows.
- Perform customer research and analyze data to validate design proposals.
- Write specification documents to align stakeholders on design decisions.
- Take ownership of large product features, including navigation, information architecture, and UI.
- Consolidate and refine the company design system.
- Identify usability issues and maintain a usability backlog based on customer feedback and heuristics.
