Requirements
- Proven track record owning a data or reporting platform end to end with minimal oversight.
- 8 or more years of experience in Business Intelligence, Analytics Engineering, Data Engineering, or a hybrid of these.
- 3 or more years of hands on experience with Google Cloud Platform (BigQuery, Cloud Functions, Cloud Scheduler, Cloud Run, Cloud Storage).
- Strong Python development experience building and maintaining ETL pipelines.
- Advanced SQL skills with experience working in cloud data warehouses.
- Experience designing and building Tableau dashboards from the ground up.
- Ability to independently diagnose data problems across pipeline, dashboard, and source system layers.
- Excellent communication skills for technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Active use of AI in engineering workflows (e.g., Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, Cursor).
- English proficiency at a B2 level or above.
Responsibilities
- Own and architect the GCP data environment, including BigQuery, Cloud Functions, Cloud Scheduler, Cloud Run, and Cloud Storage.
- Write and maintain Python based ETL pipelines pulling data from source platforms such as Toggl, Rippling, Xero, and Salesforce into BigQuery.
- Own the full Tableau dashboard portfolio end to end, including connections, SQL, refresh schedules, quality control, documentation, and bug resolution.
- Build new dashboards for executive, director, and operational audiences.
- Manage data integrity across the analytics layer, diagnosing and resolving issues in pipelines, dashboards, or source systems.
- Act as the primary point of contact for technical support regarding dashboard or pipeline failures.
- Partner with stakeholders in Operations, Finance, People and Talent, and Sales to translate business needs into data solutions.
