Requirements
- Advanced-level English speaking and writing skills.
- Minimum 3 years of experience managing a team of 5-15 engineers (full-stack, backend, or mobile).
- 5+ years of experience developing software as an individual contributor.
- At least 3 years of experience as a Senior Engineer on a Java/Spring or comparable high-level backend stack.
- Demonstrated experience in Lean/Agile management practices.
- Proven track record of delivering several large-scale projects in the last 3 years.
- Strong technical leadership skills with ability to make trade-offs between code quality and speed.
- Ability to manage team members with diverse skill sets and provide effective 1-on-1 coaching.
- High tolerance for ambiguity and change, with strong data-driven prioritization.
Responsibilities
- Partner with Product and tech leads to set technical direction, run delivery, and grow engineering talent.
- Turn requirements into well-scoped, sequenced work and hold delivery milestones.
- Own the team's technical roadmap, identifying and prioritizing technical debt.
- Review architecture docs, join incident RCAs, and guide system design decisions.
- Establish and enforce engineering quality standards, including PR reviews and test coverage.
- Run 1:1s, performance reviews, and manage headcount planning, hiring, and onboarding.
