Requirements
- Minimum of 5 to 8 years of experience in M&A, banking, law, and/or finance.
- Strong knowledge of M&A and ability to quickly review and understand complex legal documents.
- General understanding of payment processes, including KYC requirements and ACH/wire payment processes.
- Ability to understand, communicate, and explain the benefits and value of financial products and services.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple dynamic issues simultaneously.
- Ability to prioritize and multi-task across many projects in a fast-paced environment.
- Graduate or legal degree preferred.
- FINRA Series 6/7 is a bonus.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary point of contact and relationship owner for clients throughout the deal lifecycle.
- Quarterback pre-closing solicitation, payment, and escrow transactions from kickoff through post-closing.
- Negotiate payment and escrow agreements.
- Direct and mentor Relationship Associates assigned to active deals.
- Ensure collection of KYC account opening forms and coordinate with the internal KYC team.
- Review and finalize materials to be solicited from shareholders.
- Field inquiries from buy/sell-side counsel and corporate principals.
- Perform initial review of payment spreadsheets to confirm accuracy of tax characterizations and wire instructions.
- Own issue resolution during transactions, maintaining proactive communication with clients and internal stakeholders.
