Requirements
- Minimum of 5 to 8 years of experience in M&A, banking, law and/or finance, or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
- Strong knowledge of M&A and ability to quickly review and understand complex legal documents.
- General understanding of payment processes including KYC requirements, ACH, and wire payment process.
- Understanding of the M&A environment and key market segments on both buyer and seller sides.
- Ability to explain the benefits and value of company products and services.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple dynamic issues simultaneously.
- Graduate or legal degree preferred.
- FINRA Series 6/7 license is a bonus.
Responsibilities
- Serve as primary point of contact and relationship owner for clients throughout the deal lifecycle.
- Quarterback pre-closing solicitation, payment, and escrow transactions across internal and external stakeholders.
- Develop and maintain deep product and systems knowledge to guide clients as a subject-matter expert.
- Onboard new clients and set expectations for the deal process.
- Negotiate payment and escrow agreements and finalize terms.
- Direct and mentor Relationship Associates on active deals.
- Ensure collection of KYC account opening forms.
- Review and finalize materials to be solicited from shareholders.
- Own issue resolution mid-transaction to manage expectations and maintain trust.
