Requirements
- 8+ years of professional software engineering experience.
- 4+ years of focused experience in application security, vulnerability research, and penetration testing.
- Demonstrated ability to identify vulnerabilities using custom-built tooling.
- Experience using AI agents and frameworks to continuously discover security vulnerabilities.
- Ability to write code across the entire technology stack.
- Proficiency in multiple programming languages.
- Demonstrated experience mentoring other engineers on security best practices.
- Ability to balance security requirements with clinician and operator needs.
Responsibilities
- Actively hunt for and close security vulnerabilities across the Counterpart Assistant core product.
- Harden systems, services, and endpoints.
- Establish robust security monitoring for services and the technology stack.
- Safeguard PHI and monitor de-identification practices to prevent data leaks.
- Utilize AI frameworks and agents for automated vulnerability discovery.
- Review critical pull requests and conduct security training for the engineering team.
- Mentor engineers on secure coding practices.
- Partner with SRE and leadership teams to define defensive strategies.
- Strengthen platform resilience and disaster recovery plans.
