Requirements
- U.S. citizenship is required.
- Active U.S. Government Top Secret security clearance and/or CBP/DHS suitability.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, software engineering, or related field (or equivalent 4 years of experience).
- 6+ years of professional experience with programming, design, and/or development.
- Proficiency in at least one strongly-typed programming language such as Java or Rust.
- Proficiency in at least one scripting language such as Python, JavaScript, or TypeScript.
- Experience with agile software development practices and tools (Jira, Confluence, git).
- Willingness to lead technical discussions, mentor staff, and drive engineering design efforts.
- Comfortable communicating via video calls.
Responsibilities
- Contribute to the research, development, and sustainment of mission-focused software applications.
- Build and maintain backend services, APIs, and data processing workflows.
- Collaborate with data scientists and mission partners to enhance custom applications.
- Troubleshoot software defects and improve overall system performance.
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to technical documentation.
- Deliver reliable capabilities in an agile, remote-first environment.
