Requirements
- 4+ years of experience designing, developing, and launching backend systems at scale using Python or Kotlin.
- Track record of developing highly available distributed systems using AWS, MySQL, and Kubernetes.
- Experience building and managing workflow orchestration frameworks (e.g., Airflow, Flyte, Prefect, Temporal, Luigi).
- Experience with or working knowledge of scaling frameworks like Spark or Flink on Kubernetes.
- Proven ability to define a technical plan for significant features or system components.
- Proficiency in making significant changes safely within a large code base.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to take ownership of personal and professional growth.
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent practical experience.
Responsibilities
- Own and deliver quarterly goals for the team, leading engineers through ambiguity and supporting them through delivery.
- Collaborate with product management, design, and analytics on the product development lifecycle.
- Proactively identify and lead solutions for project, process, technology, or business issues.
- Support the operations and availability of team artifacts, including monitoring metrics and participating in on-call efforts.
- Foster a culture of quality and ownership by setting or improving code review and design standards.
- Develop team talent by providing feedback and guidance.
