Requirements
- Advanced degree in a scientific or healthcare-related field (e.g., MSc, PhD, PharmD, MD) preferred.
- 5+ years of medical communications or medical writing experience, with multi-asset or multi-account leadership.
- 1+ years of experience in people management, coaching, and performance evaluation.
- Expertise in scientific writing, editing, data interpretation, and publication standards.
- Strong understanding of the clinical research and regulatory landscape, including MLR submission processes.
- Proven ability in strategic thinking, client leadership, and facilitating scientific workshops.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and collaboration platforms.
- Willingness to travel for business purposes up to approximately 20% of the time.
Responsibilities
- Define and drive integrated medical and scientific communication strategies, including publication planning and tactics.
- Act as a principal scientific contact for client stakeholders and clinical leads, ensuring alignment with brand priorities.
- Oversee the development of manuscripts, congress materials, training content, and MLR-regulated digital assets.
- Conduct scientific reviews to ensure accuracy, data integrity, and compliance with industry standards like GPP and ICMJE guidelines.
- Lead scientific discussions, speaker trainings, and advisory boards, and support new business pitches.
- Manage, mentor, and evaluate a team of 3-5 writers and associate scientific directors.
- Optimize scientific workflows, resource planning, and quality governance across assigned accounts.
