Requirements

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in business, life sciences, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • 2+ years of experience in clinical research administration, contract management, budget negotiation, or related functions.
  • Experience working with clinical trial agreements, research billing processes, and clinical site payments.
  • Strong understanding of clinical trial operations and relevant regulations, including GCP/GxP/ICH guidelines.
  • Experience developing, reviewing, and negotiating clinical trial budgets and analyzing study costs.
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and related business tools.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple studies and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving skills and a commitment to producing accurate work.
  • Ability to work independently, take ownership, and adapt to changing business needs.

Responsibilities

  • Independently facilitate the review, negotiation, and execution of Clinical Trial Agreements (CTAs) and contract amendments.
  • Develop, review, and negotiate clinical trial budgets, including per-patient costs, start-up fees, and pass-through expenses.
  • Track contract milestones, renewals, amendments, approvals, and payment terms throughout the study lifecycle.
  • Analyze study protocols to assess financial impacts and ensure budgets align with fair market value.
  • Manage clinical trial site payments by validating triggers, calculating milestones, and reconciling invoices.
  • Investigate and resolve payment discrepancies, including overpayments, underpayments, and documentation gaps.
  • Collaborate with project management, clinical operations, IT, and legal teams to resolve operational challenges.
