Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in security engineering, security operations, or a related role.
- Hands-on experience with at least one of SOC 2, ISO 27001, or PCI compliance audit cycles.
- Strong application security fundamentals including threat modeling and secure code review.
- Familiarity with OWASP Top 10 and CWE vulnerability classes.
- Experience with security tooling such as SAST, SCA, DAST, secret scanning, or IaC scanning.
- Working knowledge of AWS services, including IAM and VPC networking.
- Proficiency in Python and comfort reading backend service code.
- Experience with infrastructure-as-code, preferably Terraform.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipeline security.
- Strong written communication skills for documentation, policies, and runbooks.
- Fluency in using AI-assisted development tools like Claude Code or Copilot.
Responsibilities
- Conduct threat modeling and security design reviews for new features and architectural changes.
- Perform secure code reviews with a focus on authentication, authorization, and data protection.
- Deploy and maintain security tooling including SAST, SCA, DAST, and secret scanning.
- Partner with platform engineering on AWS infrastructure hardening and network segmentation.
- Drive vulnerability triage and remediation across development teams.
- Support compliance audit cycles for SOC 2, ISO 27001, and PCI 4.0 by gathering evidence and documenting controls.
- Respond to customer and vendor security questionnaires and RFP security sections.
- Maintain and improve security runbooks and automation using AI-assisted tools.
