Requirements
- Proven experience developing and operating backend systems in production environments.
- Strong proficiency in Python and experience building scalable backend applications.
- Solid experience with AWS services, including serverless technologies such as AWS Lambda.
- Strong knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases, including DynamoDB, OpenSearch, and PostgreSQL.
- Understanding of data access patterns and performance considerations.
- Experience designing, integrating, and monitoring APIs in production environments.
- Experience working with event-driven architectures and messaging systems such as Kafka or SQS.
- Knowledge of production observability practices including metrics, logs, traces, and alerting.
- Experience with tools such as Grafana, Prometheus, or OpenTelemetry.
- Comfortable working with distributed systems and solving loosely defined technical challenges.
Responsibilities
- Design and deliver AI-powered backend features from concept to production, ensuring quality, reliability, performance, and cost efficiency.
- Build and maintain backend services and APIs capable of supporting real-world user demands and production workloads.
- Develop solutions involving LLMs, retrieval systems, prompts, and agent workflows, helping move AI experiments into reliable production features.
- Monitor and improve system performance through metrics, logs, traces, and operational insights.
- Design, review, and optimize technical solutions while challenging assumptions and promoting high engineering standards.
- Create observable and maintainable systems with strong attention to scalability, latency, and operational excellence.
- Collaborate closely with product, design, data science, and engineering teams to deliver impactful solutions.
- Participate in code reviews and architectural discussions, providing technical guidance and constructive feedback.
- Identify opportunities for improvement and proactively solve engineering challenges.
